The Schmidt-Burnham Log House is open to the public on Sundays from 2-4 PM through November 19. Visit to their new exhibits and artifacts, and participate in a scavenger hunt! The Log House is the oldest log structure in Cook County, Illinois. Built circa 1837, it was the longest occupied home in northern Illinois until the daughter of Anita Willets-Burnham gifted it to the Winnetka Historical Society in 2001. The Log House is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Log House is in need of volunteers! If interested, please reach out to Karis Blaker.
