Winnetka recently received the 2023 System Achievement Award at the 2023 Annual Conference of the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA), the Illinois Municipal Utilities Association (IMUA) and the Illinois Public Energy Agency (IPEA). The award, presented by IMEA/IMUA/IPEA President & CEO Kevin M. Gaden to Winnetka Director of Water & Electric and IMEA Board Member Brian Keys, recognizes the municipality and its employees for its various electric distribution and generation system improvements; water system enhancements; ongoing economic development, energy-efficiency and customer service initiatives; overall operational safety; and its continued commitment to improving the overall quality of life for residents.
