1. What refuse container size options and service levels are available to choose from?

The options are as follows, and prices reflect 2 months of service:

Curbside service:
$54: 35 Gallon once/week
$72: 65 Gallon once/week
$90: 95 Gallon once/week

Back door service:
$100 once/week
$200 twice/week

2. What will happen if I do not select an option by the March 1 deadline?

Residents who do not select an option by the deadline will continue to receive back door refuse service.

3. How do I receive a new container for refuse collection if I enroll in curbside collection?

Residents who choose a curbside option will have new Village issued containers delivered to their home for no additional charge during the initial roll out of the new program.

4. Will I receive new containers if I continue with back door refuse service?

No, only residents who select one of the curbside options will be provided with new refuse containers based upon the service level selected.

5. Do I need to use the Village refuse container if I enroll in the curbside collection?

Yes, residents will need to use the Village-issued refuse containers as the Village’s equipment is able to service those containers.

6. If I continue with back door collection, can I switch the size of my back door containers?

No, residents who choose to continue with back door service will still be required to use two  37 gallon refuse containers for service.

7. If I have alley collection, is that considered back door or curbside?

For residents that have refuse service in the alley, that will be considered curbside. Residents who have alley service will still be required to complete the selection form to indicate which size container they would like.

8. If I select a curbside service level, can I opt for twice a week collection for an additional fee?

No, only back door service will have the option to opt into twice a week collection for refuse. Curbside collection will only take place once a week.

9. Can I have more than one container if I select the curbside option?

No, residents will only be allowed one container for the curbside service.

10. Will this new refuse program impact my recycling collection?

No, the new program is only for refuse collection and recycling collection will not change.

11. Will my refuse collection day change?

No, currently there are not plans to change refuse collection days for residents.
