The Beatles, Chicago and the 1960s (Virtual)
John F. Lyons, Professor of History at Joliet Junior College, examines the impact of the Beatles on the Chicago metropolitan area. Using music, video and many unseen photographs from the period, this highly entertaining presentation brings to life untold stories of the Beatles’ visits to Chicago, highlights the group’s impact on the life of the local area and discusses the diverse cast of characters who were engulfed by the whirlwind of Beatlemania. Presentation is based on his new book, Joy and Fear: The Beatles, Chicago and the 1960s.

Family Trivia Night (Virtual)
Join us for a fun evening of virtual all ages trivia! Grab your friends or family, or participate individually and test your knowledge of topics including movies, pop culture, science, history, literature, and more! Winners of each trivia round will receive a prize. This event will take place on Kahoot! To play, it's best to partcipate with two devices; one to play trivia and one to watch the Zoom video. We will send instructions on how to join the game before the program and demonstrate at the beginning of the program.

Illinois Libraries Present: Jessamine Chan & Emily Maloney (Virtual)
Join Jessamine Chan and Emily Maloney for a discussion about the systems of power that impact our lives, our families, and our finances, through the lens of their acclaimed books, "The School for Good Mothers" and "Cost of Living."
Jessamine Chan is the New York Times bestselling author of "The School for Good Mothers," her debut novel. Her short stories have appeared in Tin House and Epoch. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and lives in Chicago with her family.
Emily Maloney is the author of "Cost of Living," a collection of essays. Her work has appeared in Glamour, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Best American Essays, among others. She holds an MFA from The University of Pittsburgh and lives in Evanston, Illinois, with her partner and their dog.

Family Storytime (In-Person)
Singing, dancing, stories, and bubbles! Ages 0-5 with parent/caregiver. Tickets for storytime will be available that morning at the Youth Services desk on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Preschool Storytime (In-Person)
Join us for an energetic and interactive storytime, complete with stories, songs, and more that are perfect for preschoolers. Ages 3-5.
Note: This is an in-person storytime. Tickets will be available the morning of storytime on a first-come, first-served basis, and can be retrieved at the Youth Services Desk at the Winnetka Library. Please note: Masks are recommended for all participants aged 2 and older for this Early Childhood program.
