    Neighborhood Office Hours is a program intended to help 10th district constituents access local resources and services. The staff of Congressman Brad Schneider will be available at the Winnetka Public Library every other Monday from 9:30am – 1:00pm to help with topics including: Medicare Social Security Immigration Veterans Affairs Passports IRS Other Federal Services No advance appointment is required. Please ask at the front desk for directions when you arrive.

  3. Great Decisions Discussion Series - Climate Migration (In-Person)

    Broaden your perspective on important international issues, from the economy to climate change, by participating in all or any of the 8 weekly Great Decisions discussions. A briefing book published by the non-partisan Foreign Policy Association provides a short informative article on each topic followed by suggested discussion questions. It is available for loan at the Winnetka or Northfield Library, or for purchase (to write in the margins and save) for $30 from the LWV-WNK Great Decisions chair, Joan Fragen - joanfragen@gmail.com or 847-446-0184; call for more information. This series is led by participants who volunteer to lead one session. Everyone reads the weekly topic in the briefing book as well as any other sources they may find and a stimulating and informative discussion always results! The Great Decisions series is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Winnetka-Northfield-Kenilworth in cooperation with the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District. Weekly topic: Climate Migration As climate change accelerates and drought and rising sea levels become more common, millions of people in affected regions must uproot themselves and seek safety elsewhere. Who are these affected individuals, and how might the United States aid them, and who might be affected by the migration? By Karen Jacobsen.

    Local author John Wendell Adams will talk about his latest and most compelling novel, "Ruthless”, the 3rd book in the Jack Alexander series which is an exciting and suspenseful story set in Chicago. There will be copies of the book available for purchase and to be signed by the author.
