    Join historian Leslie Goddard as she discusses the infamous Typhoid Mary, an Irish immigrant cook who infected dozens of New Yorkers with typhoid fever between 1900 and 1907. Tracked down through detective work, she was finally taken into custody and quarantined on an island off Manhattan, where she died decades later. This fascinating lecture tells the remarkable story of the woman who is remembered as the first "healthy" carrier of a deadly virus. Register The zoom link will sent near the date of the program.
