If residents have back door refuse collection, the Village will empty two 37-gallon garbage receptacles from each single-family household once per week at the back door if available and accessible by 7 AM. All receptacles must not weigh more than 20 pounds when empty and not more than 60 pounds when full. On collection days, garbage receptacles should be located in an accessible place outside of garages or other secured enclosures.
If residents have curbside collection, the Village will empty one 35, 65, or 95 gallon receptacle once per week at the curb. To ensure the receptacle is available and accessible on the day of pickup, it may be placed at the curb or edge of pavement not earlier than 7 PM the evening before collection day and not later than 7 AM the day of collection. Residents should remove their receptacles by 7 AM the morning following collection.
A Village refuse sticker is required to be adhered to each additional 37-gallon receptacle
or bag. Refuse and yard waste stickers may be purchased at Village Hall (510 Green Bay Road), Grand Foods (606 Green Bay Road), and Lakeside Foods (800 Elm).
